Star Wars Battlefront II is an upcoming action shooter video game based on the Star Wars film franchise. It is the fourth major installment of the Star Wars: Battlefront series and seventh overall, and a sequel to the 2015 reboot of the series. It is under development by EA DICE in collaboration with Criterion Games and Motive Studios, and published by Electronic Arts.

Star wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer: Multiplayer includes different online game modes which can support up to 40 simultaneous players.
Galactic Assault: 20v20 battles with unique objectives for each map.
Starfighter Assault:  space battles with 20 AI ships per team with unique objectives for maps both in space and in the skies of planets.
Strike: 8v8 mode where two teams compete in objective based scenarios.
Blast: 10v10 team deathmatch.
Heroes vs. Villains: 4v4 hero duels involving characters from all three eras

Unlike its 2015 predecessor, it features a story-driven single-player campaign and multiplayer character classes; it also features cross-era characters and locations from the original, prequel, and sequel Star Wars movie trilogies. The game is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 17, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

Star Wars Battlefront II features a single-player story mode, a customizable character class system, and content based on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi movies.

Instead of the paid Season Pass downloadable content (DLC) seen in the 2015 predecessor, this game is expanded with free DLC provided to all players with a free EA account. Lead actress Janina Gavankar stated that the DLC would be free to all players, using a seasonal structure similar to Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege. There are many playable heroes from each movie era, including: Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, Yoda, Darth Maul, Han Solo, Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn, Princess Leia and Captain Phasma; although both Finn and Captain Phasma will be released in a wave of content after the initial release. The planet to be released alongside them is Crait, seen in the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
