Going To Big 12 Tourney? Park At Kemper

This year's Big XII Basketball Tournament is downtown at the Sprint Center, but city officials are hoping fans will still go to the old site at Kemper Arena to park. This is the first daytime event hosted by the Sprint Center. The city is concerned about downtown workers taking up all the parking spots near the arena, so officials are asking those attending the tourney to park at Kemper and take a free shuttle to the Sprint Center. They'll Google the location of the Sprint Center and think they can drive right to 13th and Grand and park a block away, but it won't be that way this year," Maj. Philip Lawler said. All of the Big XII schools have been notified of the parking arrangement.
