SOUNDBITE (English) Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator: "International cooperation is really at the heart of what NASA is. It really is an agency that's very capable of not just international dialogue, but international cooperation. And if you think about the International Space Station - this is not just a technological achievement, it's not just a technological marvel, but it's really a marvel of international cooperation. A lot of different countries living and working in space and it's been going on for 18 years in a row where we've had humans living and working in space for 18 years in a row without a break." 4. Various of Bridenstine visiting training centre 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator "I think what's important to note is that as we go forward we want to make sure that all of these partnerships internationally, to include our partnership with Russia, we want to sustain those partnerships, we want to keep them going. You know, a lot of times terrestrially, our interests diverge and in fact it's not a secret that sometimes we have very strong disagreements and challenges, terrestrially. It is also true that our space programmes have been able to maintain a strong cooperative relationship in spite of what's happening on the ground and that's an important, I think, capability for both countries to maintain that open channel of communication, that open dialogue. And really it's really a feat of diplomatic capability as much as it is a technological capability." 6.
