The most noted Catalan architect of the 20th century is up for beatification: Antoni Gaudí.

Gaudí’s trait is unique, blending different epochs of architectural development and in merging creating a new style - a kind of naturalism - most evidently seen in his masterpiece the Church “Sagrada Familia” in Barcelona.

Gaudí did not just work in an exceptional style, but lived an extraordinary life, worthy of recognition by the Church, says the head of the association working to promote his canonization.
