In Pokémon SoulSilver, you are required to go to the Whirl Islands and battle Lugia before making your way to the Elite Four. Anyways, I found a Shiny Lugia on the VERY FIRST encounter. Talk about being very lucky! Especially since it's a 1 in 8,192 chance of finding ANY shiny Pokémon in the wild. I wasn't even planning to SR (soft reset) for the shiny, as I was intending to catch one with good overall IV's. I didn't get any video of the actual encounter/battle, but I did get a video shot of its stat screen, as well as me walking around with it behind me. And yes, the shininess is retained when it walks behind you.
