HurtBoyAG developed a love for music at a very young age. When his grandfather grew tired of Hurt scratching his personal vinyl collection, he went out and bought him a simple set of turntables. Hurt ran with the idea and began to advertise himself as a DJ. The first gig he ever booked was playing music in the back yard of a high school friend. This is when Hurt realized this hobby could turn to something lucrative. 

While attending Agenda in Las Vegas, Hurt bumped into a rookie rapper by the name of Future. The two exchanged information and later, Hurt received a call from Future telling him to meet at a studio in Los Angeles. Although Hurt had been making music, the young DJ had never really experienced the magic of a studio before. His surroundings inspired his work, which had Hurt tirelessly grinding down tracks and an unfortunate run-in with the cops. However, Hurt used house arrest to his advantage. In the span of a few years, Hurt has been able to work with artists such as Fredo Santana, Mike G, Larry June, and many more. He has a library full of unreleased music, with plans to create more. For now, he’s just grateful to be able to wake up and create beats with his close friends, and on a random day when he was able to take a break from his music, we were able to meet up with the DJ and talk about music.
