CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- Thursday, Oct. 8, is national depression screening day and people can find out their risk with a few simple questions. The Lindner Center of Hope is offering free online screenings Thursday, Oct. 8. People can take one in the privacy of their own home or office. Just a few questions might help people learn more about their risk. Do you have: Low energy or trouble concentrating? Blame yourself for everything that goes wrong? Poor appetite? Have difficulty sleeping? Feel hopeless? No interest? Worthless feeling? Thoughts of suicide? If people answer yes to two or more of these they may want to take the screening test. Those who are depressed are more likely to also end up with other common health problems. These can be everything from back pain to headaches to heart problems which really can take years off a life and decrease a persons quality of life.
