Now that only strong dancers remain in the competition, the eliminations become much more difficult. This week we say good-bye Andy Grammer and partner Allison. Andy had been making such great strides on the dance floor for the past several weeks, really improving in all areas. This week he struggled with his Viennese Waltz, only scoring 22/30. At this point in the competition, that score was just too low to keep him in. He definitely left the competition with a whole new fan base, and had a positive experience on the show. This week each star chose an icon that has greatly impacted their life. The big winner on the night was Nick Carter. He performed an amazing contemporary dance dedicated to his wife. Nick has been near the top of the leaderboard for weeks, but has never really stole the show. This dance was one of the best of the season-so graceful, connected and full of emotion-along with beautiful liftsAll 10s! And the excitement continued for Nick, as he revealed that his wife is pregnant. They then went on to find out the gender of their baby live on-airIts a BOY! (1:06) Bindi and Derek are close behind with their high-energy Foxtrot, dedicated to her icon -Grace Kelly. For the first time we actually see Bindi wince during practices, as she has massive bruises all over her knees and blisters all over her feet. Somehow, she performs with a huge smile and receives 28/30. It was a great performance, but almost a relief that they didnt get another perfect score. She was feeling so much pressure to be perfect each week, and finding it hard to top the previous performances. She still needs to show that she is growing as a dancer if she is going to win. He may not have gotten the highest score of the night, but Carlos had one of the most entertaining dances. Carlos and Whitney pull out all the stops with their sexy Salsa paying tribute to his icon- singer Marc Anthony. The shirt came off, and he and partner Whitney did some incredible lifts-the performance was smooth and sultry. He is definitely trying to prove that he is worthy of being in the finale and that he would certainly be able to deliver a power-packed freestyle routine. Tamar and Val made a comeback after last weeks low scores. She an Val did a very respectable Paso Doble-earning her 28/30.
