In spite of some cirrus cloud interference this year's Geminid Meteor Shower peak turned better than most years with quite a few meteors being captured on film. This series of sequences was filmed with a tripod-mounted Canon 5D Mk2 and Tokina f/3.5 fisheye lens set to take continuous 10-second exposures from dusk until dawn.

This sequence features long-trail compositing (using propreitary JCMDI workflows) which allows meteor streaks to remain in the frame for a few seconds so that they really stand out.
