We continue to have a lot of dry air in the middle and upper atmosphere over Texas so any rain here will be stray to isolated over the weekend. Rainfall will briefly pick up Monday night through Tuesday night ahead of the first cold front of the season before very dry and somewhat cool air moves in behind this most significant front of the season. Irma is in the Atlantic and continues to be no threat for interests around the Gulf of Mexico.
