Mk 68 Director paint removal

The USS Cochrane was in the Yokosuka, Japan drydock, and my job was to remove the 20+ years of paint from the Mk 68 gunfire control director down to bare metal, and repaint it. The tool I'm using is a pneumatic needle gun, which breaks the paint up and flakes it off of the metal. It is noisy, dirty work. I should have called Mike Rowe to help me out.
