Michigan State University has teamed up with The MasterCard Foundation on its' $500 million education initiative. Michigan State is the only institution in the Midwest who has joined the program, and they are allotted $45 million to support 185 scholars -- specifically the financially disadvantaged youth from Africa -- in their pursuit of a higher education.
