Clyde Police arrest two ring leaders of a prostitution operation. They say 29-year-old James Ramsey of Clyde and 25-year-old Vicky Cecero of Waynesville are both charged with promoting prostitution. Ramsey with maintaining a place for prostitution and being a fugitive from Georgia. Police say they offered prostitutes to customers in an apartment above their business, which sold animals like chickens and goats called "Wild Things Plantation." Investigators say they used social media to attract people from surrounding counties, even out of state. Some of them were registered sex offenders. "They'd make arrangements with James Ramsey and then from there they were given paperwork to go upstairs to visit whoever they were going to visit for whatever services," said Clyde Police Chief Terry Troutman. Michelle Hill runs a business called "Family Ties" next door. "I know they've been watching and investigating for a while. But I think because they knew there were children down here and stuff, is why they moved as quick as they did. And that's good," said Hill. Even though arrests were made, Hill still worries about what happened near a church and right next to her shop where her kids hang out. "I guess just how easy one of them could have got gone you know, that kind of people hanging around down here," said Hill. Clyde Police say more arrests are expected. Ramsey is in jail on $60,000 bond. Cecero is free with a promise to appear in court.
