"Lama Zopa Rinpoche explains different methods to practice patience when anger arises. He starts with a very practical advice, which consists in preparing our mind, in planning already in the morning, so that whatever happens during the day we can use it to train our minds, because we are ready for whatever comes up. Then he also recommends being aware of how the I exist, because in that way when we realize that there is no a truly existing I, then there’s no basis for anger to arise either. We can also think in the same way with regard to the person who supposedly is the cause of our anger. If that person does not really exist, in the same way, there is no basis for anger to arise in us. This video was extracted from a teaching that was recorded in Bendigo, Australia on May 8, 2018.
