The piano was restrung at some point and the case was refinished. You can tell from the excellent felt that the piano has barely been played all these years! The soundboard looks and sounds phenomenal. The action moves beautifully and the tone is rich with a very wide dynamic range. The sustain in the treble is exceptional. This is an all around fine instrument that can be a treasure for someone looking for a great vintage Steinway that should provide many years of enjoyment.
