The Netravati Express is a daily express train running between Thiruvananthapuram and Mumbai. The train runs through Konkan railway.
Initially the train was plied between Mumbai to Mangalore/Kochi as Link via the inland Pune, Gulbarga, Krishnarajapuram, Palakkad route parting at Shornur Junction. Trains on the old route used to take 48 hours to reach Mangalore from Mumbai. After the Konkan Railway line was operational in 1998, the route has been changed via the Konkan Railway and the Mangalore-Mumbai running time was reduced drastically to 16 hours. The link express was made a single train till Kochi[1] and further extended till Thiruvananthapuram (which is the capital city of Kerala) from 10 February 2001.
Mangalore city is situated at the banks of the Netravati River. Since this trains terminating point was Mangalore back then, the name of the train was set as Netravati Express.
A WDP-4D, belonging to Golden Rock,or a WDM 3D of Erode Shed hauls the train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Mangalore Junction after which an Erode based WAP-4 hauls the train for the remainder of its journey.

Ernakulam–Duronto is a weekly non-stop superfast train which runs between Kochi, and the national capital New Delhi.[1] It runs through the scenic Konkan Railway. This is the first Duronto express to Kerala and the longest running Duronto express in Indian Railways. It is the longest non-stop train services by distance in the entire world.
This train runs once in a week. Train no: 12283 departs Ernakulam Junction on Tuesdays at 23:30 and reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin on Thursdays at 19:40. In the return journey, train no: 12284 departs Hazrat Nizamuddin on Saturdays at 21:35 and reaches Ernakulam Junction on Mondays at 15:40. It covers a distance of 2943 kilometres in each direction and takes 42 hours 05 minutes towards Ernakulam and takes 44 hours 10 minutes towards H.Nizamudin.
It is hauled by WAP 5 of Vadodara or Ghaziabad Shed from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Vadodara Junction after which a WDM 3A of Ernakulam Shed would take the train from Vadodara Junction to Ernakulam Junction.
The LHB rake has 7 non-AC three -tier sleeper coaches, 4 AC three-tier coaches, 1 AC two-tier coaches, 1 AC first-class, 1 pantry car and 2 EOG cars making a total of 16 coaches.

It has commercial halts at Kozhikode (CLT), Mangalore Junction (MAJN), Madgaon Junction (MAO), Ratnagiri (RN), Panvel Junction (PNVL), Vasai Road (BSR), Vadodara Junction (BRC), Ratlam Junction (RTM) and Kota Junction (KOTA). You cannot book tickets to or from these technical halt stations.
