Gakii reveals how she believes that Africa is ready to invest in herself, in her people and her resources. Gakii is passionate about education, public policy and sustainable development. A strategist by profession, she set up AHI to improve the quality of education provided to children in schools in the slums and other marginalized areas. She also runs and manages a blog, The Evolving Mom, where she writes about her experiences as a mother and a woman. Gakii also sits on the first Deloitte Mill Board, a group of young professionals who advise the Deloitte Africa CEO on internal innovation strategies.
