Originally recorded September 6, 2013. I unbolt some more stuff from the unit and swing out the cold side. If you placed a fan blowing across that, you could have a redneck air conditioner, provided you're not blowing the warm air through it as well, which would then defeat the purpose. I had the system properly evacuated and the freon recovered by a qualified HVAC technician before cutting the refrigerant lines. Now that the coils are free, it's time to harvest the compressor out of it.
