On July 27th 2012, the Olympic Cauldron at the London Olympics will be lit and in doing so will mark the formal start of the 30th Games of the Modern Olympiad. I contribute to a guest blog run by GMV Productions and wondered to myself, "Who would light the cauldron in an event like the Olympics, but with sports only involving fitness or strength?" and so came up with a list of six names of the great and the good of bodybuilding from the start back in the mid 19th century to the modern day. But I simply couldn't decide which of them would best epitomize the strength and fortitude that the Games would need as a final torchbearer, "so" I thought, "let's put the decision to the online masses". And here we are! To cast your vote visit http://www.gmvbodybuilding.com/the-lighting-cauldron/ and place your choice of the six bodybuilders mentioned in the article and then tweet "I voted for (name of bodybuilder) to light the #GMVPowerFlame cauldron". The results will be tallied up in a week's time and published as a comment as the Opening Ceremony of the 30th Modern Olympic Games happens in London.
