Politics has begun to rage over the KMP Expressway that was inaugurated by PM Modi on Nov 19. While inaugurating the expressway, PM Modi attacked the Congress saying the project was delayed by a 'decade' due to 'corruption' in the Commonwealth Games during the UPA regime. The Congress hit back saying that the Centre and the Khattar government in the state are endangering the lives of commuters by inaugurating an "incomplete expressway without being tested by the engineers." 
The 136-km-long Western Peripheral Expressway, also known as the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, will become fully operational on November 19 with the inauguration of its 83-km-long Kundli-Manesar section. (Audio in Hindi)
