How do you create a culture of celebration in everyday life? How can we use celebration to revitalize community? How can we use a culture of celebration to improve the love in our lives? Every single person holds the power to bring a culture of celebration to all the important things, William Etundi Jr. asserts. In this fascinating talk, he charts his evolution from a young adult deeply involved in and inspired by the radical activist culture in New York City at the turn of the century to the CEO of a social network for artists.

William is a creative, an activist and entrepreneur. For the past two years he has built See.Me (www.see.me) into a global social network connecting hundreds of thousands of artists around the world in a community based on mutual admiration and financial support. Prior to See.Me, William produced massive scale immersive art events, with the New York Times calling him "an impresario of the underground." Since arriving in New York City in 1998, he has worked on dozens of social justice activist campaigns ranging from saving local gardens to elevating the voice of community organizers in the global economic debate.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
