My last skippering day of my RYA Coastal Skipper Practical course at Langkawi Sailing School. 45-50nm from Koh Nok/Rok to Ko Adang. We left at 04:30 in the dark and navigated round some shallow areas with rocks, then a long sea passage with 28 knot winds and we got our 42ft, 15 ton Ketch 'Kay Sira' up over 8 knots! And finally navigated in between two headlands, missing a few rocks and anchored in a bay for the night on the West side of Ko Adang. Great, fun passage considering the day before we'd had to motor most of the way because of light winds. Took me a while to realise that I should line the GoPro up with the horizon an not the yacht so you get the feeling of how much the yacht is heeling over...lol
