11.24.2018 | 12:19 AM | VENTURA - A hydrant sheared by a hit and run driver resulted in a geyser, Saturday morning.

Police and fire officials responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Thomson Boulevard and Howard Street shortly before 12:20 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a large geyser and a sheared fire hydrant but no vehicle. Firefighters quickly shut off water to the hydrant.

Police searched but were unable to locate the vehicle that sheared the fire hydrant.
