Here is Guardian Angels Chapel in Oakdale MN. It was built in 1885. It was nearly removed in the 70's but instead they strengthened the structure. It has now been restored and the stained glass windows and much of the original pieces inside the chapel were refurbished. This is how it looks today. When I was little I remember peaking through the rotted front wooden doors and seeing those statues of Joseph & Mary sitting in the center on the floor that was falling through. I was told they must be storing stuff for the nativity scene. :) But those were in fact the original statues that were in the church back in the late 1800's. Someone did a very nice job of restoring them. I spoke with someone from the church once that confirmed this. Anyhow, people appreciate them. They are now in the restored chapel. Guardian angels was formed in 1857, a year before Minnesota. I composed the music in Garage Band.
