(5 Nov 2018) DJS STEVE AOKI AND DILLON FRANCIS DISCUSS EARLIEST MEMORIES OF HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles – home to the world-famous Chinese and Dolby Theatres, Madame Tussauds and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For celebrities at the Latin Music Awards recently, it's also a place of memories and dreams. "Well I mean, as a kid I used to come here all the time. I grew up here," said DJ Steve Aoki. "My career broke in LA. I used to live down the street, like literally six blocks away, I used to live down the street. So I used to ride my bike down here, up and down. I mean, this is my hood and it's also like Hollywood. It's crazy, right? So it's amazing to be here again. I just swung by my old apartment which was kind of wild so it's really cool." Fellow electronic music DJ Dillon Francis also used to visit the famous street as a child. "I remember when I was a kid I would always go up to where the Chinese Theatre and I would just go up to Spider-Man because he was my favorite," he recalled. "I would always just hug him and be like, 'Dude, can you shoot a web?' He'd be like, 'No, I can take a picture for a dollar.'" Actress Alyssa Diaz, starring in Netflix's upcoming "Narcos: Mexico," is also a Los Angeles resident and said when she thinks of Hollywood Blvd., it goes hand in hand with hard work. "It's crazy because I started acting up when I was 12 and I was born and raised in LA," she smiled. "So I remember coming here for auditions with my dad and just like, you know, being here and so this reminds me of work and hustle and grit and also celebration and joy of being an artist and making art that matters."
