A new extension of Instagram platform that now allows you to upload videos longer than the previous 60 seconds optimized and intended for videos in the natural orientation that we are accustomed to using out phone, vertically. #ShellySavesTheDay #IGTV #SeattleYouTube Creators can now upload videos up to 10 minutes in length from your phone. Certain larger creators can upload content up to 1 hour via computer. More good news: links you put in your description box of your IGTV videos are clickable! This is a major change from the normal Instagram experience. So if you have a link to a product, an external website, people will now be able to click it! Channels are created and you can look at videos from accounts they follow or look for popular videos in a separate section. Videos need to be a minimum of 4:5 orientation such as 1080x1350 and will be stretched to the 9x16 size. File sizes on IGTV need to be under a certain size as well. Under 650mb for videos up to 10 minutes. IGTV videos up to 60 minutes long can not exceed 5.4GB in size. IGTV will accept video file format of .mp4. IGTV offers a video timeline across the bottom of the video so thy you can “fast forward” or “rewind” to specific areas of a video. I have not yet seen the ability to change playback speed yet. I have not seen what size a creator needs to be to be able to upload a video on IGTV up to 60 minutes. What do you think of IGTV? Will you use it?
