Mormugao municipality has initiated action against encroachment by hawkers and vendors on footpaths. It may be recalled that Prudent media had flashed news regarding illegalities prevailing in Vasco market.  Despite of High Court’s order to clear footpath, no action was taken by MMC. 
MMC has removed sheds whereas the kiosks still remain on their untouched. Shopkeepers have demanded to remove all illegal kiosks as they affect their business.
