Art Hansl movie clip playing Bill Zane's father Flash Fire, 1994, an action thriller involving arson, murder and mayhem. Art Hansl was a leading man in European movies, many James Bond rip-offs, from 1965 to 1970. His time in Europe, mainly appearing in Italian movies, was a unique time in what Art Hansl calls the La Dolce Vita period of cinema. Then he transitioned to Central and South America from 1970 to 1975 where he starred in a number of what he calls "bad movies" that are classics because they are "so bad." Nonetheless he traveled around the continent, even to the Galapagos Islands, filming a wide range of movies. Combining experience in the movie business and a good education, he launched into a successful career writing popular suspense thrillers with titles like All For the Money, To Die For and Sunstroke. His autobiography, FLASHBACKS, came out recently and it has many fascinating and stories about crazy movie directors putting him at risk to get the perfect shot.
