Today's Navajo Word of the Day is "Béésh Bee Hane'é," which means, "Telephone." There are Navajo slang ways of saying "cellphone" but for now we are going to keep to the basics & use this "starter" word. Basically, the word breaks down to mean, "the metal used for talking."

The sentence used is, "Kwe'é shibéésh bee hane'é doo nááyiiláah da," which means, "My phone has no signal right here!" Signal here referring to wireless signal.

Shi (my ) béésh (metal) bee (by means of which) hane'é (talking is done): telephone
