The other day I was able to attend the February 2018 Rocky mountain Smiths workshop on making chasing tools.  This was a small workshop wit5h only 8 participants.  That is fairly typical for a hands on workshop in a small shop.   We looked at junk yard steels, made tools and then ground, hardened and tempered the tools.  I strongly encourage everyone to get involved with their own local blacksmith group.
