Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom has finally opened in North America after already being out in some international markets for a few weeks now, and the results are monstrous. Fallen Kingdom took the #1 spot at the box office by beating out the projection numbers and taking in $150 million for its opening weekend. This number represents the second biggest opening weekend in history for Universal Studios (only behind the first Jurassic World movie) and the 4th biggest opening weekend of 2018 behind only Avengers Infinity War, Black Panther and The Incredibles 2. Speaking of Incredibles 2, the Pixar sequel turned in an impressive $80 million dollar 2nd weekend, taking only a 55% decline from week one despite a massive blockbuster like Jurassic World opening.
