3D group project for Bournemouth University 2002 Was a team assignment but the firefly and the animation was my creation and design. A Chinese girl I was working with, wanted it to look like the spirits from the movie Final Fantasy so we gave it a similar style. the fun part... is that when we made the animations, we had to switch from XSI to Maya. Everyone was doing a different part, and we didn't really knew what will be the final result. The flame was a disaster and I tried to add gradient orange colors and sparkles because it looked like jell-o. The only complete copy we had was in a BETA-tape and converting it into avi format made the animation raise its frames from 24fps to 29fps. That was way too fast, so I re-edit it in half the speed. Thats why the music is slow and 'haunting'!
