Deutsche Welle commissioned Vietnamese composer Trần Mạnh Hùng to write Poem Symphony ,a musical interpretation of an old Vietnamese hero's legend that draws on elements of jazz,classical and Vietnamese folk music. Now the work is premiering at the Beethoven Festival in Bonn. DW has prepared this portrait of the young composer.
