To close a Metro application in Windows 8 that is currently being displayed, move the mouse to the top of the screen, then click and drag the app to the very bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can use the hotkey "Alt-F4". To close an app that is not currently being displayed, move the mouse to the top-left of the screen to display the list of running apps, then right-clicking the app in question and select "Close" http://www.pugetsystems.com/
