Now, it's times like these that life feels the hardest…Especially if you think that you still love her. And nothing can help you from moving on to a better future, as you're constantly bombarded with thoughts of trying to revive a relationship that has long passed away. If she'd moved on, then she'd moved on! And it's time that you accept and move on! Ok, so you've finally decided to move on and now you want to get over your ex? Here, my dear friend, is the blunt truth. It will take some time, but it'll be a worthwhile journey… So here are our 5 top tips, that will help you to get over your ex 1. Focus on the positive When you focus on the positive, it's far easier to move on. You'll get the motivation to take massive amounts of action, when you see things from the positive side. And remeber that You're moving towards a better future, it therefore requires a clear vision and positive thinking. Make a list of the advantages of this break up, and clearly write them down alongside your goals. Look at them every day, and affirm yourself that you'll do what it takes to get there. Visualize this better life that you're creating for yourself. Believe me gents, you won't feel like a victim. You'll build a far better life for yourself. It's also a great opportunity for you to get to know the opposite sex and to start seeing other women. Gents, in some ways you'll need an experience like this, so that you can find out what type of girl’s right for you. The best way to know is to create your own experiences and to go through your own failures! 2. Get in touch with your friends and socialise Here's what I did and I'll share it with you. I'm pretty sure it'll help you too. I decided to accept what happened to me and decided to let go of controlling the situation. Rang my friends and made plans nearly 3 to four nights a week and bought a gym membership. They were very helpful and supportive of my situation. Honestly I was so busy being active meeting friends, going to gym and had no time think of her! I didn’t stay indoors too long and engaged myself with activities and enjoyed the outdoor activities. 3. Avoid meeting her This is the golden rule. She moved on and you moved on. You need to give her a chance to build her own life. Like it or not, you're going to need time alone and start your own healing process. You cannot text or call your ex or accidentally bump into her at her socialising places. If she contacts you, do yourself a favour and don't pick up. I also avoided from my ex's friends as I didn’t want to be pulled back into my former life. You are cutting the cords here so make sure that you delete her number and delete her from the social media accounts. Iain Myles is an executive dating coach of Kamalifestyles.
