Magnus Øgård Meisal is a restless young entrepreneur who started his first company at 19 years old. A year later, he began studying to become a construction engineer at The University of Stavanger. He quickly became a leading figure among the student community and by the next year, he became the president of the local entrepreneurship organization Start, founded the Construction Engineers Association BIF and joined the student parliament.

His dream has always been to make life easier for the people around him. During the early years of his studies, he began questioning the complexity of today's construction methods by pondering the pre-existing construction models in Norway and the pre-existing cost structures for building homes in Norway.

After a visit to a car factory in Germany, he decided to start his biggest project to date, MyBox. MyBox focuses on making houses tradable goods that one can buy online and connect with the rest of the house in an easy universal modular system.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
