SUZUKI Takuma, the current organizer of TEDxSapporo, was fascinated by TED and then engaged in spreading various ideas produced from Sapporo, Japan.
After joining TEDx community, he was at first just looking at TEDx events. Then he gradually participated himself to them. Finally, he took over as the second organizer of TEDxSapporo.
During this process, he found the answer to "What is an idea?".
What's his answer? And why he continue to spread ideas?

2003年、北海道工業大学（現・北海道科学大学）で工学博士の学位を取得すると同時に、システム開発を行う有限会社テックワークスを創業。スマートフォンアプリの開発や各種ウェブサービスの提供を行う。北海道科学大学、札幌大学では、プレゼンテーションやコンピュータサイエンスの分野で講義を行い教育分野にも力を入れている。

2012年にTEDxSapporoにはじめて参加し、学術系とはまったく異なる、オープンさと明快さにあふれるTEDスタイルのプレゼンテーションに刺激を受けた。これをきっかけに、マット・カッツが提唱する30日チャレンジを自らも実践し、スタッフにも応募して活動に参加する。活動をとおしてブランディング戦略、コミュニティ活動、チームビルディング、プレゼンテーション手法について学ぶ機会を得た。日本各地で開催されているTEDxイベントにもスタッフやパティシパントとして参加。各地のオーガナイザーやスタッフとの交流を深め、相互の活動活性化にも取り組んでいる。

2014年にはTEDActiveカンファレンスにも参加して、本場のTEDに触れる。TEDxSapporo 2015からオーガナイザーを務める。
