Dylan Summers (Necro Butcher) scored a roll in the 2008 movie "The Wrestler", starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, and Ernest Miller. Outside of the lighttubes and barbed wire which gave him his fame, Butcher has also gained critical acclaim for his wild brawls and very physical "slugfests". Perhaps the most famous of these was his first match against TNA and ROH veteran Samoa Joe at the IWA Mid-South "Something To Prove" in 2005. Despite no weapons beyond a chair and a guardrail coming into play, the match was exceptionally brutal and well-received by deathmatch fans and purists alike, proving that Butcher could put on compelling matches without necessarily needing the weapons with which he was normally associated.
