The State Security Agency says 66 of the investigators in the state capture inquiry have confidential clearance. Thirteen of them hold the highest 'top-secret' security clearance. Details on why some investigators were denied security clearance have emerged. Some applications for clearance are still in progress, seven weeks after the inquiry hearings began. This is despite an undertaking from the Minister of State Security that they'd be finalised by the 21st of September.
