Impulse was cool, not great. January is always slow, so it's a good paycheck to have during that time of the year. It takes place the same time and place as the Asian American Expo, which is the real reason there's any traffic at all at this con. But it works.

Artist Alley tables were $175, plus $13 a day for parking (making the real cost of this table closer to $200).

One thing that I don't like about Impulse is that they advertised their attendance numbers over 100k. BULL-FUCKING-SHIT. I believe they are taking numbers from the Asian American Expo AND Impulse, and saying that's the attendance numbers. That's like saying because your 1k attendance convention has 10k attendance takes place next to a baseball game. Not cool, misleading bullshit.

Don't fly in for this. If you're local, do it. If you're like 4+ hours away, give it a try once, it's worth one shot.
