METRO DETECTIVES ARREST SELF PROCLAIMED PROPHET FOR MULTIPLE CHARGES OF SEX CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN

On July 3, 2009, Detectives from the L.V.M.P.D. Crimes Against Youth and Family Bureau arrested Benito Catello, 75 years of age of Las Vegas, on 29 felony charges including Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault Victim Under 14 years, and Lewdness with a Minor Under 14 years Catello is a self proclaimed prophet and the leader of The Ministry, a church run out of his home which is located near the intersection of Owens and Mount Hood in the Northeast part of Las Vegas. Catello is a white male adult, 5'5" tall and weighing 155 lbs. with grey hair and blue eyes. Metro investigators are asking any individuals who may have been a victim of Benito Catello, or who may know of additional victims, or have any information pertaining to this suspect or this investigation, to immediately contact the L.V.M.P.D.
