This is the story of a stiff-necked, jerk of a husband that was given much and refused to use it the right way. A story about a wife that threw herself before a king and begged that SHE be punished instead. A king that showed mercy - and a God that didn't. And the woman ends up with the king.  There are LOTS of spirals here - about the Bride being married to the world, interceding for it and falling at the feet of Jesus, willing to take the shots (Exodus 32:32), the world that will be punished by the Father and the Bride that ends up with the King.  And mixed in here too is the VERY REAL example of how you can bury what God gives you in the sand, hoard it for yourself, build barns, and it all be taken away.  There are all kinds of ways to die - and I know lots of people that are still walking around, but they are dead inside. You BETTER hear this story and take God seriously. Nabal was asked for a little, refused - and God took it ALL.  (I Samuel 25.)
