Bass fishing in a river - bass fishing rig setup and gear

I've heard of good stories about bass fishing in the Umpqua River, so I decided to finally try it out. The river was pretty shallow, and the bass were hiding in the rock crevices. Some fish were near the bank, while many were in the middle of the river. My setup was a Texas rig and a plastic worm (4-6" zoom finesse - trick worm), with a 1/8 - 1/16 oz weight. One my other rod, I tied on a rooster tail spinner - which is another great bass lure. It was definitely one of the best spot for bass fishing, but they were on the small side.
