Hey! It's National Dog Day here in the U.S. and since it's also Watch What You Eat Wednesday, we wanted to make something special and healthy for our dogs. Here's the recipe for the peanut butter cookies we made - we only did 1/2 this recipe for a smaller amount:

2 cups whole wheat flour, plus more for dusting
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1 cup creamy peanut butter, at room temperature

Place an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray or line with a silicon baking mat.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats and baking powder. Stir in the broth and peanut butter until the mixture forms a crumbly dough. Press the dough together to form a ball.

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough about 1/2-inch thick. Cut with desired sizes/shapes cookie cutters and place on baking sheet.

Bake until light golden, 15-20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
