Allison Jean, the mother of Botham Jean spoke with Roland Martin about the life of her son and explained how she found out about his passing.

When asked if her son knew Amber Guyger prior to the shooting incident, Jean said, "My son was very open with me and if he was seeing someone he would tell me. He never ever told me about this Amber Guyger."

She added, "From my recollection, from my knowledge, he did not know her."
