Known as the "Godfather of Big Bass," David Campbell managed the Toyota ShareLunker Program at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Involved with ShareLunker since it began in 1986, he contributed a great deal to the knowledge of how best to care for big fish and has communicated this information to the public through countless interviews with newspapers, magazines, radio, and television. Campbell began working for TPWD in 1965 as an assistant at the Lewisville State Fish Hatchery. He raised and stocked millions of fish in Texas waters including black bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, crappie, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, northern pike, walleye, peacock bass, sunfish, and forage species. Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame seeks to recognize and honor those who have made a lasting contribution to freshwater fishing in Texas and to foster awareness and appreciation of and participation in the sport of fishing. #texasfishing #fishing
