1987 के रिश्वतखोरी के एक मामले में डीजीपी ओपी सिंह ने वाराणसी के एंटीकरप्शन कोर्ट में गवाही दी....आपको बता दें कि 1987 में भदोही सुरियावां के लालचंद व सुरेशचंद उपाध्याय चकबंदी के अधिकारी आरके दूबे को रिश्वत देने का प्रयास कर रहे थे...कि तभी ड्राइवर की मदद से ओपी सिंह ने उन्हें पकड़वाया था....ओपी सिंह उस समय वहां के एएसपी थे.....उपसंचालक की तहरीर पर मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया था...औऱ 30 मई 1988 को चार्जशीट भी दाखिल की गई थी.....उसी मामले में 10 गवाहों सहित तत्कालीन डीजीपी ने वाराणसी के एंटीकरप्शन कोर्ट में गवाही दी....
