Anderson city attorney arrested on suspicion of drunken driving

Evan Broderick, 36, who is also the son of Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr., was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and suspicion of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, said Edgewood Police Chief Andy Ellingwood. Officers were called to investigate a crash into a utility pole near the intersection of W. 8th Street and Raible Avenue at about 7 p.m. The officers arrived to find evidence of a crash with car parts were all over the road, but no car.
