The short Emmy-awarded documentary called “Omar,” focuses on the storyline of a sister and her brother with Down syndrome how they grew up together. The Jam's Diana Gutierrez talked to the siblings and the company who helped make it bigger and those who it impacted. The next steps for this short documentary are to make it into a bigger production! There’s a GoFundMe page set up for that. Half of the proceeds will go to the Special Olympics in Chicago. The production team wants to hire people of color and youth to help in the final project.
