Iris is an architect and interdisciplinary performer with versatile dancing skills and professional music training. Since 2015 she has been conducting research regarding kinesthetic interpretation of artistic ideas in the context of Architectural design and Choreography.
She has worked as a dance instructor and choreographer in various dance schools and participated in numerous dance technique and choreographic workshops. Her work in research, choreography and performance has been showcased in Sympraxis – Dance/ Music/ Architecture, 2nd Art & Science Dance Congress and 8th Athens Video Dance Project.
As a researcher and dancer/choreographer she is particularly interested in the relationship between space and body in motion as well as their structural elements in the context of ‘synthesis’ (composition).
Η Ίρις Αθανασιάδη είναι αρχιτέκτων και interdisciplinary performer με σπουδές στον χορό και την μουσική. Από το 2015 διεξάγει έρευνα σχετικά με την κιναισθητική ερμηνεία καλλιτεχνικών ιδεών στο πλαίσιο του αρχιτεκτονικού σχεδιασμού και της χορογραφίας.
Έχει εργαστεί ως δασκάλα χορού και χορογράφος σε σχολές χορού και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά masterclasses χορού και χορογραφικά εργαστήρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Η δουλειά της στην έρευνα, τη χορογραφία και το performance έχει παρουσιαστεί μεταξύ άλλων στο Sympraxis – Dance/ Music/ Architecture, 2nd Art & Science Dance Congress και το 8th Athens Video Dance Project.
Ως ερευνήτρια και  χορεύτρια/χορογράφος ενδιαφέρεται ιδιαιτέρως για την σχέση μεταξύ χώρου και σώματος εν κινήσει καθώς και για τα δομικά τους στοιχεία στο πλαίσιο της σύνθεσης.
